For Breakfast: Two egg omelet with jalapeño and cilantro, topped with a dash of salsa. Coffee. Cassi and I got a new Fair Trade Sumatra blend and it is really really good!
I am at school early again and I am working hard on my homework. I just finished as assignment for my food class and I all I have to do is show up to my Queer 101 class and then I am done for the day. The only assignments I have left to work on are my thesis and studying for my final in my Food class. I hear the final is terribly hard!

- My name is Katy, I am currently a student at University of Washington and I live in Seattle with my wonderful girlfriend, Cassi. This past April, we flew down to Las Vegas to play in a soccer tournament. We play year round on an all women's team here in Seattle. In the first game of the weekend, I heard three loud "pops" in my knee and came crashing to the ground. I tore my ACL and had surgery, replacing the ligament completely with part of my hamstring. Not being able to walk, and play soccer made me realize that I was taking my body for granted. I am a naturally athletic person, and I have let myself get out of shape. Since I graduated high school in 2005 I have gained a lot of weight. My knee injury has put things into perspective for me and realizing how lucky I am to be, an otherwise healthy person, makes me feel foolish for not taking care of myself. It's time for me to change my life.
